Bruno Fernandes, captain of the Portuguese national team and Manchester United, shared his thoughts on his new role in the team and head coach Ruben Amorim.
Idman.Biz reports this with reference to foreign media.
B. Fernandes said that playing in a deeper position allows him to be more involved in building attacks:
"In a new, deeper position, I am more involved in starting attacks. It is very important that the lines are connected to each other, and I learned this from Matić and Pogba when I played as a number 10."
The Portuguese midfielder also praised his teammates:
"We currently have different types of midfielders: Casemiro is very good at passing the ball forward with one touch, Manu is aggressive at taking the ball, and Kobbie is able to carry the ball forward through strength and technique. All this allows me to play in a lower position."
Fernandes also shared his thoughts on head coach Ruben Amorim:
"Every coach at Manchester United is constantly under pressure - victories exalt him, and defeats immediately create pressure. But Amorim understands very well where he came and is ready for it."
The captain also touched on the club's management at the end:
"If Sir Jim (referring to billionaire Jim Ratcliffe - ed) and the team believe in the coach, this is a very important signal showing the unity of the club."
