Bayern Munich's head coach, Vensan Kompani, evaluated the performance of his players during the preseason Asian tour after a 2:1 friendly match win against Aston Villa at the Kai Tak Sport Park stadium in Hong Kong.
İdman.Biz reports that the Munich team had previously defeated South Korea's Cheju United 2:1.
"To be honest, I was impressed with all of our players. It's not easy to play these matches with so many players still not back. Obviously, some of the players are very young and have never played against teams at this level before. For example, Tim [Binder] and Maicon [Kardozo] - if you look at the defense and the style of play, it's clear how difficult it is.
The energy we showed in midfield with Pavlović, Bischof, and Laymer was also important, they help us where we need it. We've put a lot of time and effort into developing these players. This is a kind of reward for the work we've done with these players. I'm satisfied," - says Kompani, quoted on Bayern & Germany X's social media account.
