The first goal of the match was scored in the second half, in the 55th minute, by "Barcelona's" Polish striker Eva Pajor. She doubled the score in the 69th minute. In the 90th minute, "Barcelona's" striker Salma Paralluelo increased the gap. In the 90+3rd minute, Salma Paralluelo scored her second goal of the game.
In the previous stages of the tournament, the Catalan club defeated "Real Madrid" with a total score of 12:2 and "Bayern" with 5:3. On the way to the final, "Lyon" defeated Germany's "Wolfsburg" (4:1) and London's "Arsenal" (4:3).
