The date of this year's "Ballon d'Or" award ceremony has been finalized. Sport24.az reports that the event will be held in London on October 26.
The choice of location is to commemorate the memory of the legendary English footballer Stanley Matthews, the first winner of the "Ballon d'Or" in 1956.
This year the prestigious award celebrates its 70th anniversary.
It should be noted that the last winner of the "Ballon d'Or" among men is PSG and French national team striker Usman Dembele. Among women, it is Aitana Bonmati, the striker of "Barcelona" and the Spanish national team.
