"I think I made the right move."
Idman.biz reports that this was said by Azer Baghirov, the former head coach of "Kapaz", on the "Start" program broadcast on "CBC Sport" TV channel.
The specialist, who left the Ganja club a few days ago, spoke about the reasons for his resignation. The 44-year-old specialist said that there were disagreements with "Kapaz" on some issues: "Today there is a limit to life. It is upsetting that the work of your assistants is valued less than those requirements. Such things worried me a lot. After I said my word, it was not received positively and we parted ways with the club."
Baghirov complained about the lack of attention paid to local specialists: "Every coach should be able to value himself. Today, local coaches in Azerbaijan do not receive enough attention. This needs to be overcome. Looking at our championship, the head coaches of the top three teams are local specialists. I think we can do a lot, we just need more attention. I don't object to foreigners coming, but we have seen many times that foreign specialists come, work for a short time and leave. In return, they received the necessary compensation. If they had shown the same attention to local coaches, perhaps they would have achieved even more success. We also want attention and care."
It should be noted that Baghirov announced that he left the Ganja club by mutual agreement at the press conference held after the match against Turan Tovuz, which they lost 0:4 in the last round of the Azerbaijan championship. "Kapaz" finished the season in 9th place with 32 points and managed to stay in the Premier League.
