The President of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Claudio Tapia, has discussed the future of the national team's coach, Lionel Scaloni. He expressed confidence that he can persuade the coach to stay with the national team. According to Sport24.az, the federation president made a statement to "TyC Sports":
"I love Lionel very much. He has had difficult days here. We all want him to stay. The negotiations are progressing well. My A, B, and C plans are Scaloni".
Note that the 48-year-old Scaloni's contract ends at the end of this year.
