Alvaro Arbeloa has officially confirmed that he will part ways with "Real" at a press conference held before the last game of the season. According to Sport24.az, the Spanish specialist did not hide that the last four months have been very difficult for him.
Evaluating his activities at the club, the coach said that they discussed everything with the management:
"I talked to everyone, we exchanged ideas. Sometimes we agreed, sometimes we didn't. I am grateful for this opportunity the club has given me and I hope that one day I will return here".
Arbeloa emphasized that when making a decision, he considered the interests of the club more than his personal interests:
"In recent months, I have thought more about "Real" than about myself. I tried to do what was right for the club. The situation could have been different in another club, but this is what I had to do here. I have no regrets".
Noting that the last game will be special as it will be held at "Santiago Bernabeu", the specialist said that he wants to say goodbye to the fans with a victory. He also addressed good words about the team's defender Dani Carvajal:
"Carvajal is a symbol of what a "Real" player should be like. His growing up from the academy and what he has done for the club makes him special. Tomorrow will be a special day for him".
Speaking about his future, the coach said that he is ready for new challenges:
"This will be my last game at "Real". I don't know if my coaching career will end here. But I have developed a lot in the last four months and I am ready for new challenges".
Arbeloa also clarified the allegations in the press regarding Jose Mourinho:
"Mourinho has a strong coaching staff and he will come with his own team if he comes. It is not possible for me to join his staff".
