Former Spanish national team and "Barcelona" football team midfielder Andres Iniesta is preparing to start his coaching career.
Idman.Biz reports that the 42-year-old specialist will become the head coach of the "Gulf United" football club, which represents the city of Dubai in the UAE. According to reports, an agreement has been reached between the parties and the signing of the contract is expected.
This will be Iniesta's first job as a head coach. After ending his football career, he began working in the coaching field and participated in courses of the UAE Football Association. According to FIFA, Iniesta also took part in a coaching education seminar held in Dubai in January 2025.
"Gulf United" was founded in 2019. The club operates in Dubai and operates as both an academy and a professional team.
