Aleksey Isayev shared his thoughts after the national team's training camp in Austria. He noted that the main thing is victory, and even though they didn't play perfectly, they still won.
Isayev also emphasized the players' fatigue at the end of the season:
"We are all human, and the fatigue of the season is inevitably felt. I will have only 3 days of rest, and then I will join the training camp of "Sabah".
The midfielder also compared the team's matches against Malta and San Marino:
"I wouldn't say that Malta won with an extraordinary game. They had only two counterattacks, and they took maximum advantage of them. We, on the other hand, couldn't take advantage of many scoring opportunities. In the match against San Marino, we could have decided the fate of the match in the first half. Simply, we lacked finishing, and we need to work on that. In football, you need to learn and improve every day. In my opinion, the national team's potential allows for further improvement".
Note that the national team, led by Ayxan Abbasov, held two friendly matches as part of the training camp in Austria. The team lost to Malta (0:2) and defeated San Marino (2:1).
