AFFA Continues Series of Webinars on "Working with Children and Youth"

The second online seminar of the "Working with Children and Youth" series, organized within the framework of AFFA's Football Education Webinars initiative, has been held. According to Sport24.az, representatives of about 20 clubs participated in the webinar dedicated to the topic of "Child psychology and motivation".

The event was conducted by Sarkhan Huseynov, Head of the Football Development Department of AFFA, coach-expert.

During the session, topics such as the impact of coach behavior on child psychology, internal and external motivation, self-determination theory, effective communication and feedback were discussed. Participants also exchanged views on the coach's approach when working with children based on a practical scenario, proper management of emotional reactions, and the creation of a supportive training environment.

It should be noted that additional practical resources are also shared with the participants within the framework of the webinar. At the end of the first online meeting, participants were presented with a work tool called the Training Session Checklist, which contains a training session checklist and useful information on the topic. At the end of the second webinar, a work tool called "Coach's Mirror" was shared with the participants to support coaches in reflecting on their behavior, communication style and impact on the training environment.

It is planned to regularly hold educational webinars in the field of football education. It is planned that this initiative, which was initially launched for coaches, will cover other target groups in the next stages.
