Adriel Ba Loua: We had no luck at all this season

Interview with Gabala midfielder Adriel Ba Loua for Sport24.az.

- You secured your place in the Premier League by defeating Mingachevir (2:0) in the play-off match. How would you comment on the victory?

- It was a difficult game. We knew we had to give everything to win. We also played against Mingachevir in the cup. We were aware of their tactics and playing style. But in this match, the main thing was not tactics, but desire.
- According to the current regulations, in a play-off match, a Premier League club can field 11 players, while a First League representative can field a maximum of 3 legionnaires.

Is it possible to consider this an additional advantage for Gabala?

- No, I don't think it makes a significant difference. The main thing is the quality of the players.

 
- Gabala finished 11th in the Premier League. What was missing to take a better place?

- We also think that our position could have been better. It was very difficult for us at the beginning of the season. We played very well in most matches. We had chances, but we couldn't use them. Although we were superior, we had difficulty winning. But in any case, these are already in the past.

- What prevented you from performing as you wanted? How much influence did the referees have on the results?

- Everything can have an impact. But we cannot blame the referees or anyone else for the failure. These would be excuses. Of course, the referees must also be responsible. But we ourselves are responsible for the result. We have to play well, score goals, and win. I hope that next season will be better.

- As you mentioned, what needs to be changed first in Gabala for the next season to be better?

- Frankly, I have no idea about this. Every season is different. The luck factor also plays a role. We had no luck at all this season. I believe that we will have more luck next season. 

- How do you assess the level of the Azerbaijan Premier League?

- Good. It was even a bit surprising for me. I didn't expect the level of the Azerbaijan championship to be so high. I didn't think it would be so interesting. It is above my expectations. I am happy to play in this league.

- Are you satisfied with your situation in Gabala?

- Yes, I feel very good here. Everything is great. The team, training conditions, coaching staff, management - in a word, Gabala satisfies me in everything.
