The "Sheki Open" international chess festival has ended in Sheki.
According to "Report", Azerbaijani chess player Khagan Ahmad, who scored the most points - 8 points in 9 rounds in group A, became the winner.
Ukrainian chess player Vasili Bernardski, who scored 7 points, finished the tournament in second place. Another Azerbaijani chess player, Vugar Manafov, finished third with 6.5 points.
In group B, our representative Teymur Soltanov won the tournament with 8 points. Yusif Kerimli and Huseyn Gurbanov took 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
It should be noted that "Sheki Open" is a stage of "Chess Tour Azerbaijan" held on the initiative of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation. The next competition of the project - "Shamakhi Open" tournament will start on June 27.
