The "Vugar Gashimov Open 2025" international chess tournament, organized by the Vugar Gashimov Chess Foundation, continues in Baku. Sport24.az reports that the 6th round games will be held today.
After 5 rounds, two chess players - Azerbaijani representatives Tunar Davudov and Shiroglan Talibov are in the lead. They continue their way with a 100% result - 5 points each.
It should be noted that the tournament is included in the "Chess Tour Azerbaijan" project, which is being implemented for the first time at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation. 206 chess players from 6 countries participate in the competition, which is held for the 11th time.
