Azerbaijan's women's chess team took second place at the World Championship held in Linares, Spain.
Idman.Biz reports that the national team faced the International Chess Federation (FIDE) team in the decisive match.
The team, consisting of Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Khanim Balajayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, and Ayan Allahverdiyeva, lost the first match 1:3 and the second match 1.5:2.5.
It should be noted that the team's captain was Ilaha Gadimova.
