Shakhriyar Mamedyarov Fails to Qualify for "Freestyle Chess Grand Slam"

Azerbaijani chess player Shakhriyar Mamedyarov participated in the qualifying tournament of the third stage for a spot in the "Freestyle Chess Grand Slam" to be held in Las Vegas. Sport24.az reports that our grandmaster lost 0:2 to Ukrainian Martin Kravtsiv in the 1/4 finals.

 

The winner of the qualifying tournament was American Hans Niemann. He defeated Belarusian Denis Lazavik in the final.

 

It should be noted that 14 chess players, including Magnus Carlsen, will compete in Las Vegas.
