The chess championship among the agencies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in team and individual competitions was held on February 9-13 at the base of the Sports and Health Club of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
İdman.Biz reports that about 70 employees from 17 teams representing the MES Apparatus and its agencies participated in the tournament.
According to the results of the competition, the State Fire Protection Service took first place in the team standings, the Civil Defense Troops took second place, and the team of the State Agency for Safe Conduct of Work in Industry and Mountain-Mining Control took third place.
In the individual championship, Elchin Asadov, an employee of the State Agency for Control over Safety in Construction, won. The second place was taken by Mehdi Gasimov, a cadet of the MES Academy, and the third place was taken by Shahin Mehdiyev, an employee of the Sumgayit Regional Center.
The winners were awarded with cups, diplomas and medals.
