All participants of the 1/8 final stage of the Azerbaijan Chess Championship have been determined.
"Report" reports with reference to the Chess Federation that Nijat Abasov, Khagan Ahmad, Rahim Gasimov, Kamal Agasiyev, Pasham Alizadeh and Ravan Aliyev, who won in the tie-break, qualified for the next stage.
In the 1/8 final stage of the national championship, Murad Ibrahimli will face the tournament's rating favorite Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Ahmad Ahmadzade will face Vugar Rasulov, Nijat Abasov will face Khagan Ahmad, and Rahim Gasimov will face Aydin Suleymanli. Last year's winner of the Azerbaijan Championship, Rauf Mammadov, will fight with Shiroglan Talibov, Pasham Alizade will fight Read Samadov, Ravan Aliyev will fight Mahammad Muradli, and Eltaj Safarli will fight Kamal Agasiyev.
Female chess players will also join the competition from the 1/8 finals.
It should be noted that the championship will end on February 22.
