Our chess player took eighth place in Cuba

The 58th Memorial of the 3rd world chess champion Jose Raul Capablanca has ended in the city of Matanzas, Cuba. Sport24.az reports that our grandmaster Azer Mirzoyev took 8th place in the tournament.

 

In the last round, he drew with local chess player Isidro Dilan and reached 6.5 points. Mirzoyev was only behind the Cuban Almeida Quintana, who was fourth, due to additional indicators.

 

The winner of the tournament was Dilan with 7.5 points.
