The semi-final stage of the Azerbaijan Chess Championship will start today.
According to "Report", in the men's competition, the tournament's rating favorite Shahriyar Mammadyarov will face Aydin Suleymanli, while Read Samadov will face Muhammad Muradli.
In the women's competition, Ulviyya Fataliyeva will face Gulnar Mammadova, and Turkan Mammadyarova will face Aykhan Allahverdiyeva.
Note that the championship will end on February 22. The prize fund of the competition is 92 thousand manats. 62 thousand manats of this amount belong to the men's championship, and 30 thousand manats to the women's championship.
