President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACF) Mahir Mammadov met with Azerbaijani coaches living in Baku and regions, including abroad.

The main purpose of the meeting was to approve the coaching staff that will be involved in the preparation of national teams in various age categories. Regional coaches who participated in the meeting online spoke about the problems causing concern in the current situation and made various suggestions.
Representatives of the Coaching, Children and Youth, as well as Composition Commissions of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation provided information about the problems in organizing ranking tournaments, the lack of experienced coaches in the regions, as well as the lack of methodological materials. At the meeting, proposals were heard to benefit from the experience of foreign coaches and to ensure that young people nominated for the national team undergo training at a higher level. The coaches noted that the "Azerbaijan Chess Tour" project, which was implemented for the first time this year, was successful.
During the meeting, ideas were exchanged on conducting seminars with coaches, inviting well-known experts from abroad to Azerbaijan for exchange of experience, organizing online lessons through the federation's YouTube channel, creating a database covering chess players and coaches, and completing the certification process for coaches.
It was emphasized that it is important to review the provisions of the regulatory framework together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Science and Education, and bring them into line with modern requirements.
President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation Mahir Mammadov said that meetings with coaches will become a tradition. The ACF president gave relevant instructions regarding the solution of the voiced problems.
