Norwegian Magnus Carlsen has won the Fischer Random World Championship held in Weissenhaus, Germany.
"Report" informs that Carlsen faced American Fabiano Caruana in the final of the world championship, which was organized for the first time under the auspices of FIDE.
The match ended with a victory for the Scandinavian grandmaster with a score of 2.5:1.5. In the bronze medal match, Uzbek Nodirbek Abdusattorov defeated German Vincent Keymer with the same score.
Thus, M.Carlsen won his 21st world championship in his career. The 35-year-old chess player also has 5 world championships in classical chess, 9 in blitz, and 6 in rapid.
