The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has lifted all restrictions against the Belarus Chess Federation (BCF) and allowed its athletes to compete under the national flag and anthem.
Sport.Biz reports that international tournaments funded by FIDE can now be held in Belarus, and Belarusian chess players can participate in team competitions.
The Russian Chess Federation (RCF) remains under FIDE sanctions after refusing to comply with the Court of Arbitration for Sport's (CAS) demand to cease its activities in Ukraine's Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia regions and Crimea.
