A tournament was held in Ganja to support the III CIS Games, which will be hosted by our country, with the joint organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ganja City Executive Power and the Azerbaijan Chess Federation.
Idman.biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that Ulviyya Fataliyeva, the first Azerbaijani winner of the European Championship, Ilaha Gadimova, the world and European champion among juniors, three-time European champion Gadir Huseynov and Azerbaijani champion (2012) Vugar Rasulov performed in the friendly game and session held in Heydar Aliyev Park in Ganja.
Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov spoke about the importance of the event in his speech and wished the participants success.
In the friendly game, chess players competed in duets, with two people representing each team. Then chess stars held a session for talented teenagers and young people of Ganja.
