Azerbaijani chess players will compete in the World Championship held in Kazakhstan.
Idman.biz reports that the opening ceremony of the World Cup will be held today in Almaty.
Azerbaijan will be represented at the tournament by Fatima Mirzaliyeva, Nurlan Azizli, Mehriban Ahmadli, Malak Asadli, Atilla Orman, Kenan Babasoy and Asnad Bakhshizada.
785 chess players from 83 countries will participate in the competition, which will be held among boys and girls in the 8, 10 and 12 age categories.
It should be noted that the 11-round World Championship will end on September 30.
