The 58th Memorial of Jose Raul Capablanca, the 3rd world chess champion, has ended in Matanzas, Cuba.
Idman.biz reports that Azerbaijani grandmaster Azer Mirzoyev took 8th place in the competition.
He drew with local chess player Isidro Dylan in the last round and brought his score to 6.5. Mirzoyev was only behind Cuban Almeida Quintana, who was fourth, due to additional indicators.
The winner of the tournament was Dylan with 7.5 points: a draw with our chess player was enough for him to take first place.
