The leadership of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACF) held a meeting with the parents of chess players who play in youth and junior national teams. Sport24.az reports with reference to the ACF that at the meeting, the president of the organization, Mahir Mammadov, informed about the support program provided to chess players by the federation.
The ACF head noted that the early detection of talented children and keeping them from falling behind in development is kept in focus.
The head coach of youth and junior chess teams, Nijat Mammadov, spoke about the selection for the support project and the training program. Farid Abbasov, the coach participating in the meeting, and Ilaha Gadimova, the Secretary General of the ACF, emphasized the special role of parents in the preparation of chess players.
The event discussed the importance of proper nutrition for children and the efficient use of preparation time.
At the end of the meeting, the ACF leadership and coaches answered questions raised by the parents.
