The Azerbaijan Championship in rapid and blitz chess among men and women will be held in Baku.
"Report" reports that the competitions, organized by the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, will be held from December 4 to 8.
It will consist of 9 rounds according to the Swiss system.
Chess players with a FIDE rating (classic, rapid or blitz) above 2100 for men and above 2000 for women can participate in the championship.
The total prize fund of the competition is 10,000 manats. 6000 manats of this amount will be played in the men's tournament, and 4000 manats in the women's tournament.
The competition system and the number of rounds may vary depending on the number of participants.
It should be noted that the chess players who take the first 3 places in the national championships will be sent to the world championship to be held in Qatar.
