Chess player Ayan Allahverdiyeva is still experiencing the bitterness of her defeat in the final of the Azerbaijan Championship.
The grandmaster herself stated this in an interview with "Report".
She commented on the decisive match she lost to Ulviyya Fataliyeva:
"In chess, you can see all kinds of results. I will think about and analyze the reasons for my defeat. I think I made mistakes in certain moves and as a result, I lost. Before the match, I was focused on winning. I was doing my best to win. But sometimes defeat is inevitable. To be honest, the bitterness of the defeat still lingers a bit. But such defeats motivate and strengthen a person for the next competitions. In such cases, you understand and learn better where you made a mistake."
It should be noted that Ulviyya Fataliyeva defeated Ayan Allahverdiyeva in the final match of the Azerbaijan Championship. U. Fataliyeva, who won with a score of 1.5:0.5 in the tie-break, became the national champion for the first time in her career.
