The closing ceremony of the Turkic-speaking countries chess championship was held in Astana, Kazakhstan.
İdman.Biz reports that the winners of the men's and women's teams, as well as the chess Olympiad for under 16s, were determined at the end of the competition.
Azerbaijani chess players finished the championship with 2 gold and 1 bronze medals.
It should be noted that the chess players who distinguished themselves on the boards were also announced at the award ceremony. From our representatives, Govhar Beydullayeva, Khanim Balajayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, Khagan Ahmad, Pasham Alizadeh and Murad Ibrahimli won gold, Ahmad Ahmadzade won silver, and Misraddin Iskandarov and Shiroglan Talibov won bronze medals.
