Ahmad Ahmadzade Leads at "Vugar Gashimov Open", Will Face Ibrahimli in the Final Round

Ahmad Ahmadzade maintained his lead in the "Vugar Gashimov Open" chess tournament with one round remaining.

Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijani grandmaster defeated his fellow representative Azer Mirzoyev in the eighth round.

Ahmadzade, with 7.5 points, is half a point ahead of Murad Ibrahimli, who is in second place.

They will face each other in the final round.
