Gervonta Davis, the undefeated 30-year-old "WBA Super" lightweight world champion, is facing new charges of violence.
According to İdman.Biz, this was reported by "Baller Alert" citing a court document.
In a lawsuit filed by the boxer's ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossell, in Miami-Dade County Civil Court, he is accused of beating and kidnapping the girl.
In the application, Rossell claims that on the morning of October 27, 2025, Davis entered the "Tootsies" men's club in Miami. The girl worked there as a waitress in the VIP lounge. Davis attacked her. According to Rossel, Davis grabbed her, began to choke her, and dragged her to the back exit of the establishment. He then beat her in the parking lot, hitting her in the back of the head.
Rossel and Davis dated secretly for about five months. Rossel claims that their relationship was extremely unhealthy: Cervonta constantly insulted her and threatened to kill her.
The lawsuit states that Rossel currently suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and intense fear. She is undergoing therapy and living with others because she no longer feels safe alone.
The woman's lawyers are seeking compensation and punishment, claiming that Davis's behavior was "cruel, malicious and intentional." They also referred to previous lawsuits against Davis, including allegations of violence filed in 2020, 2022, and July 2025.
