Today, the semi-final matches of the boxing tournament of the CIS Games start in Yevlakh.
A few minutes before the start, a correspondent of Idman.biz, who was sent to Yevlakh, took a statement from Vagif Kazimzade, the head coach of our U-16 boxing team.
He assessed the chances of his trainees for medals.
"It is a good result that 14 of our boxers reached the semi-finals, but the competition here is very high. Even in the semi-final fights, the competition is at such a level that it feels like a world championship. Here we will face boxers from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Russia and it will be very difficult to defeat them. Nevertheless, I hope that some of our boxers will reach the finals and we will be able to win a gold medal."
