Azerbaijani representative Tofiq Musayev, who lost his duel with Kyrgyz Mıktıbek Orolbai at the UFC tournament held in Baku, shared his thoughts on his social media account.
According to "Report", the 35-year-old athlete thanked the fans who supported him.
The MMA fighter wrote that he will be stronger and more confident in the next matches:
"Sometimes you rise, sometimes you fall. But the main thing is to be able to get up. This time, victory was not granted. A person works hard and believes, but life presents us with different tests. This road is not walked alone. My teammates who work with me day and night in training grounds, the coaching staff who motivates me every morning, you are not just friends to me, you are a part of this struggle."
T.Musayev also addressed the fans:
"I heard your voice, those calls rising in the arena, thousands of people calling my name, I heard and felt your support. Sometimes we can lose in a fight, but it is impossible to lose such love. This is not the end. I will be back. Stronger, more solid, more confident. Thank you all."
It should be noted that US representatives Jamal Hill and Halil Rountri faced each other in the main match of the tournament. The fight in the light heavyweight category lasted five rounds. H.Rountri was eventually declared the winner.
Azerbaijani athletes Nazim Sadikhov defeated Brazilian Nikolas Motta, and Rafael Fiziev defeated Ignacio Bahamondes from Chile.
