Azerbaijani boxer Subhan Babayev (60 kg) started the U-19 European Championship held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, with a victory.
According to "Report", the national team member eliminated Luka Crnogorac (Croatia) in the 1/8 finals.
The boxer defeated his opponent with a score of 3:1 (29:27, 28:27, 29:27, 28:28, 27:29).
Babayev will face Simonas Puniskis (Lithuania) in the 1/4 finals. The fight will take place on October 4.
