The opening ceremony of the Southern Regional Boxing Center took place in Lankaran.
According to the local bureau of "Report", the event was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation (ABF) Vusal Nasirli, Head of Lankaran City Executive Power Taleh Garashov and other officials.
The guests got acquainted with the Center, watched the training and fights of young boxers. Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov and ABF Vice-President Vusal Nasirli gave relevant recommendations and instructions.
The center is equipped by the ABF with the necessary equipment that meets modern requirements. The total area of the new boxing center is more than 2.5 hectares, and the administrative building has two floors. Here, on the first floor, a training hall and two rings are at the disposal of athletes. The center has a coach meeting room, 2 changing rooms, exercise machines and a mini-football field.
It should be noted that one of the main activities of the ABF is to further increase interest in boxing in the regions, ensure its mass character and strengthen its material and technical base. In addition to the Southern Regional Boxing Center, the Baku Boxing Center and the Boxing Training Center at the Sumgayit city stadium also operate.
