The names of the semi-finalists have been clarified at the World Boxing Championship held in Liverpool, England.
"Report" informs that, following Alfonso Dominguez in the Azerbaijani national team, Saidjamshid Jafarov (75 kg) also completed the 1/4 final stage with a victory.
He faced Pavlo Illiusha (Ukraine). Jafarov won with a score of 5:0 (29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 30:27, 29:28). With this victory, Saidjamshid secured at least a bronze medal for himself.
The boxer will fight Uzbek Fazliddin Erkinboyev in the semi-finals. The meeting will be held on September 12. On the same day, Alfonso Dominguez's opponent will be Brazilian Santos Ribeiro Filho.
