Azerbaijani taekwondo athletes successfully represented our country at open international tournaments held in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

In the competition held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Rugayya Aliyeva (28 kg) and Aylin Salahli (41 kg) won gold medals, while Chilingir Gokalp (36 kg) won a silver medal.
Later, our representatives, who left for Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, tested their strength in the tournament organized by the "Grand Master" taekwondo club. Chilingir Gokalp (36 kg), one of the club members, defeated all his opponents this time and won a gold medal. Aylin Salahli (41 kg) proved her championship once again. Rugayya Aliyeva (28 kg) took second place on the podium.
