Azerbaijan's women's boxing team wants to make new history at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games. Sport24.az reports that this was stated by Zeynab Rahimova, a member of the Azerbaijani women's boxing team.
The athlete, speaking to the press service of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation, said that they want to achieve success at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia:
"We have prepared seriously for the Islamic Games. Our women's boxing team will participate in this competition for the first time. We want to make new history by achieving new successes. We want to add gold medals to our assets in the competition."
It should be noted that the boxing competition at the Islamic Games will start before the official opening ceremony. The fights, which will start on November 5, will end 5 days later.
