Another Azerbaijani boxer started the World Championship in Liverpool with a victory. Sport24.az reports that Saidjamshid Jafarov finished his first fight as a winner.
Our boxer, competing in the 75 kg weight category, defeated Gavin Rafferty (Ireland) in the 1/16 finals. Jafarov, who scored all three rounds, eventually won with a score of 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:26).
He will hold his next match against Daigo Sunaga (Japan), who is exempt from the first stage.
