Nazim Sadykhov has announced that his next fight in the UFC could take place in Brazil.
Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijani MMA fighter, who competes in the lightweight division, has agreed to fight Brazilian Renato Moicano at the tournament to be held on October 12 in Rio de Janeiro.
Sadykhov wrote on social media: "I agreed 4 days ago, but there is no news in response".
It should be noted that Moicano is ranked 11th in the lightweight division, while Sadykhov is not in the top 15.
The main event of the evening in Rio de Janeiro will be another Azerbaijani-Brazilian confrontation - Rafael Fiziev's fight with Charles Oliveira.
Born in Brazil on May 21, 1989, Moicano has had more than 25 professional fights in his career and has won 20 victories (10 of them by submission). He is known for his strong grappling and Jiu-Jitsu techniques, making him one of the most dangerous fighters on the ground in the division.
In January 2025, Moicano got a chance for the championship and fought Islam Makhachev for the UFC lightweight title. Despite the defeat, he retained his status as a former title contender and remains one of the well-known fighters in the lightweight division.
