Today, the final matches of the boxing tournament of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games will be held in Riyadh.
According to reports, Azerbaijan will be represented by four boxers who will compete for gold medals.
Idman.Biz received a statement from the Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation (FBA), Naghi Safarov, regarding the topic.
He stated that he believes in the strength of Azerbaijani boxers:
"Only seven of our boxers participated in the tournament - three men and four women. Six of them reached the semi-finals and won medals for our country. Now we are waiting for the final matches, four of our athletes will perform in this stage. I hope that despite the strength of the opponents in the final, we will have at least one gold medal."
