Mexican boxer Pedro Antonio Rodriguez died a few hours after his fight.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, the 37-year-old boxer was found dead in his hotel room in the morning after a fight with 21-year-old American Filip Valle in Phoenix (USA).
The fight ended with Rodriguez losing by unanimous decision of the judges.
After the fight, the Mexican returned to his hotel room and agreed to go to dinner with other boxers. However, he did not appear in the hotel lobby. The next morning, the boxer's body was found in his room. Police are investigating the cause of his death.
Rodriguez also worked at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).
He has 15 wins (7 by knockout), 26 losses and three draws in the professional ring.
