Polish fighter Mateusz Gamrot, who ranks eighth in the UFC lightweight rankings, has announced his readiness to replace Azerbaijani Rafael Fiziev in the fight against Charles Oliveira.
İdman.biz reports that the Fiziev-Oliveira fight was supposed to be the main event of "UFC Fight Night 261," which will be held on October 11 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. However, there are reports that Fiziev will not be able to participate in the fight due to an injury.
"I'm ready and can't wait to jump in there! Let's go!", Gamrot wrote on his social media page.
Mateusz's last fight took place on June 1 at "UFC on ESPN 68". On that day, Gamrot defeated Ludovit Klein by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
