Uzbek boxer and winner of the Paris Summer Olympics, Lazizbek Mullajanov, failed a doping test.
"Report" reports that Reuters has released information about this.
The 26-year-old athlete's doping test was positive for metasterone - a synthetic anabolic steroid that helps in the rapid increase of muscle mass, as well as increased endurance and physical strength.
A sample was taken from Mullajanov on June 11. He now has the right to request an analysis of the B sample. If the result of the B sample confirms the data of the first sample, the athlete will be disqualified for violating anti-doping rules.
It should be noted that L. Mullajanov won a gold medal in the 92 kg weight category at Paris-2024.
