The traditional "Korean Ambassador's Cup" in taekwondo was held at the Sports and Health Club of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to "Report", 145 young athletes born in 2008, 2009 and 2010, representing 35 clubs, competed in the Olympic weight categories at the tournament.
The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Korea to our country, Kang Kim-kyu, and the Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation, Hikmat Samadov. After the official speeches, the tournament was declared open. A presentation of taekwondo equipment provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Azerbaijan and an interesting lottery game for the participants were held. In the artistic part of the competition, members of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation's exemplary performance team (demo team) demonstrated a colorful performance program.
Then the final matches started. In the overall team standings, the "Farasat" TK team took first place. The "Absheron-Khizi" and "Gafgaz" TK teams took second and third places, respectively.
