Russian fighter Khamzat Chimaev, a UFC middleweight champion, has refused an offer to obtain Swedish citizenship.
İdman.Biz reports that this was announced by sports blogger Adam Zubayrayev.
He stated that Chimaev, who lived in Sweden from 2013 to 2023, did not want to take advantage of such an opportunity. The athlete also had a residence permit and tax identification number.
It should be noted that Khamzat Chimaev is a Russian citizen.
