Former UFC light heavyweight title contender Khalil Rountree has arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the main fight of the UFC Fight Night, which will be held in Baku on June 21.
İdman.biz reports that today the athlete took a walk in Icherisheher, the historical part of Baku.
Rountree visited the Shirvanshahs Palace, climbed the Maiden Tower, and also got acquainted with the art of Azerbaijani carpet weaving. He even participated in the carpet weaving process.
The main fight of the UFC Fight Night in Baku will be between former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamal Hill and Khalil Rountree. The second most important fight of the night will be in the lightweight division between our compatriot Rafael Fiziev and Chilean representative Ignacio Bahamondes. Azerbaijani representatives Nazim Sadykhov and Tofig Musayev will also enter the octagon as part of the tournament. Their opponents will be Brazilian Nikolas Motta and Kyrgyz Mıktybek Orolbay, respectively.
