Famous Russian MMA star Khabib Nurmagomedov shared a post on his social media account.
According to Report, the 36-year-old former champion published photos of the people he met in Azerbaijan.
The Russian wrote, "Thank you very much, Azerbaijan. These days were amazing."
It should be noted that Khabib Nurmagomedov was the coach of Tagir Ulanbekov at the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament held in Baku. Ulanbekov defeated Maksum Azat (Kazakhstan).
In the main fight of the tournament, US representatives Jamal Hill and Halil Rountree faced each other. The light heavyweight match lasted five rounds. H. Rountree was eventually declared the winner.
Among Azerbaijani athletes, Nazim Sadykhov defeated Brazilian Nikolas Motta, and Rafael Fiziyev defeated Ignacio Bahamondes from Chile. Tofig Musayev lost his duel with Myktybek Orolbai from Kyrgyzstan.
