Two more Azerbaijani boxers have qualified for the semi-finals at the VI Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Idman.Biz reports that Sarkhan Aliyev, competing in the 70 kg weight category, defeated Uzbek representative Samandar Khabibullayev with a clear advantage in the 1/4 finals. The athlete who reached the semi-finals secured a bronze medal for himself.
Mahammadali Gasimzade, competing in the 60 kg weight category, defeated Ugandan Jimmy Adriko 5:0 in the 1/4 finals.
It should be noted that Saidjamshid Jafarov (80 kg) had previously qualified for the semi-finals. Thus, Azerbaijani boxers finished the day with maximum results.
