Islam Makhachev, a 33-year-old former UFC lightweight champion (70 kg) from Russia, met with legendary 59-year-old mixed martial artist, wrestler, and actor Don "The Predator" Frye.
Idman.biz reports that Frye is one of the pioneers of MMA. Despite his early victories and achievements in the UFC, he left MMA in 1997 and continued his career in "New Japan Pro-Wrestling" (NJPW). He quickly became one of the company's leading figures. His fight with Yoshihiro Takayama in 2002 was named the best match by the "Wrestling Observer Newsletter."
Makhachev will fight Jack Della Maddalena in his next fight.
